Who we are

Visa Cost Calculator (visacostcalculator.site) is an independent, informational website. For privacy questions or requests, contact visacostcalculator@proton.me.

What the calculator does with your inputs

The visa, country and option choices you make in the calculator are processed in your browser to produce an estimate. We do not store them on our servers. To show current fee data the page requests the fee list for the selected visa from our API; that request contains only the country and visa type, not personal data.

Email address (Visa Cost Checklist)

If you submit your email to receive the Visa Cost Checklist we store it, together with the visa you were viewing and the date, in Google Firebase (Firestore). We use it to send you the checklist and, if you asked for it, related updates about visa costs. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We keep the address until you ask us to delete it. We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics, advertising and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and Google AdSense to show advertising. These services set cookies or use similar identifiers. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage stay disabled (Google Consent Mode) until you make a choice in Google's consent message, and you can change that choice later through the privacy settings option that message provides, or by clearing this site's cookies and reloading the page. Elsewhere these services are enabled by default; you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings or use Google's opt-out tools.

Service providers

We use Google (Firebase Hosting, Cloud Functions, Firestore, Google Analytics and AdSense) to run the site. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries under the providers' standard safeguards.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or Canadian and Australian privacy law) you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Contact us at the address above to exercise them.
